Immediate Past President Iris Hopkins enjoys her last official luncheon
Club president Rose Barker and members of SI Pembroke Borough welcomed President Iris Hopkins at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel.
Looking understandably relaxed for her last official luncheon President Iris emphasised the importance of the far-reaching decisions that will be made at Federation Conference. She commented "there is now an international need to respond to changing attitudes. We, as Soroptimists, must adapt our policies to meet new needs."

Club president Rose's theme this year has been a focus on Awareness Around Disability. and has supported Sick Children in Need. SI Pembroke has also regularly supported Mary Gadham's 'Poor Boys School' in India and was congratulated by President Iris for their very substantial contribution to the project from the proceeds of an International Night.
A weekly "Water Babies" evening hosted by SI Pembroke has proved to be extremely popular in helping women learn to swim. The club covers the cost of pool hire and a lifeguard and charges a small fee for entry; proceeds are allocated to charity.
A "Summer Shop" which is manned by various local groups has also raised funds for SI Pembroke. According to club President Rose "people always support us very well - they seem to think that Soroptimists have a better class of jumble!".
Everyone saw rainbows on the wet drive home.
