Between Friday 27th February and Monday 1st March the club will be repeating its always very successful Daffodil Festival. All proceeds will be donated to local charities. Events will be held at the Green Street Methodist Church, situated at the top of Canon Street, Aberdare, between the old Town Hall and the Library. Details have been circulated to clubs by email.
Friday 27 February - SI Port Talbot
Cheese and Wine Evening at The Four Winds Hotel, Aberavon at 7pm. The speaker is 'Super Jim' of S4C TWORI who will talk about old Welsh porcelain from Swansea, Llanelli and Nantgarw. This will be followed by a Mini Auction. Tickets are £6.50 which includes a glass of wine. The proceeds of the evening are for SNAC (Special Needs Activity Centre) in Port Talbot.

A very special concert to be given by Cardiff Ardwyn Singers organised by SI Cardiff in aid of local charities at Eglwys Dewi Sant, St Andrews Crescent, Cardiff at 7pm. Annual Charity Lunch at Wolfscastle Country Hotel. Carwen Wynne-Howells will be the speaker. Her talk "Accepting the Challenge" will, of course, include the latest on her University Challenge experiences. The lunch is in aid of Arthritis Care in Pembrokeshire. Summer Fete at Weir House,1 Heol Isaf Radyr in aid of the Make-a-Wish Foundation, 2pm to 5pm. The Foundation grants last wishes to children with terminal illnesses. There will be stalls and games, a treasure hunt and lots of other amusements. Entry (includes a strawberry tea) £3.50 for adults, £1.50 for children.

SI Cardiff are spending the day at the glorious Westonbirt Arboretum, soaking up the autumn splendour. There are still a few places remaining on the coach. They would love to welcome members of other Clubs on the trip. The cost of the coach is £10. They will be stopping in Tetbury for lunch.
